OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) is a popular test equipment for measuring theĀ attenuation of an optical fiber. OTDR can be used both inside the lab and in OSP testing. Conventional OTDRs check optical loss, point defects called events and length of an optical fiber.
